We’ve been a bit obsessed with our tomatoes lately. But the good news is that today we had a handful of ripe cherry tomatoes (Gardener’s Delight) after their stint in a box under the stairs with a banana and some newspaper.
So hopefully the remainder of the crop will do likewise.
It’s been disappointing, but a useful learning opportunity at the same time.
Next lesson will be what to do with a load of small, unripe Douglas F1 tomatoes…
A dozen or so ring of fire chillies joined the tomatoes under the stairs today. Fingers crossed.
I’ve always found two very ripe bananas, in a bowl with the green toms, and cover with a tea-towel has worked well!
