We started them from seed in March of this year, and after too long in pots just four tomato plants could go into the ground when we were finally able to move in June. They grew fast and well and finally developed their first fruit at the end of August. But now, sadly, our tomatoes have succumbed to blight. We weren’t optimistic about getting much of a harvest, given how late they were. Hey ho.
We had bad luck with our tomatoes last year too. Next year, however, with a polytunnel in situ, our tomatoes will be epic!
